Aside from that, I found the book to be rather wordy and too full of narrative at times. Also, right from the onset of this book, Dalziel comes off as a jerk. I enjoyed all of her books, some more than others, but, throughout all the other books was the question. And of course, we're back to the Bastion formula. Me ha encantado el libro, es como esperaba que fuera la historia de Amor de Dalzie jejeje, Minerva me ha conquistado con se mezcla de saber hacer y su fogosidad!!!!.
There was such emotion in this book. And Minerva is no better. Scanning the collection, fingers idly stroking long forgotten friends, he halted before one, his fingers stilling on a gold-plated curve as memories of his father presenting it to him on his eighteenth birthday slid through his mind. I love a mysterious, dangerous hero. Stephanie Laurens had the potential for something very cool here, and she totally blew it.
At ThriftBooks, our motto is: Read More, Spend Less. His father didn't approve; to his father and many marcher lords like him , the government changed - it was their job only to support the government insofar as it benefited them. His own high-bred blacks had carried him as far as St. She came out sounding whinny and annoying. Her interactions with Royce were enjoyable to read and reading how the two slipped into love was great.
And even if he changes his mind, can he convince Minerva? I've been waiting to read Dalziel's - Royce's - story since I first started reading this series. We have been waiting to discover his identity for so long. He'd simply have to grin and bear it-continue to rein his temper in, denying it the release it sought, while putting as great a distance between him and her as possible. Far more tempting is his castle's willful and determindedly aloof chatelaine, Minerva Chesterton. This had always been his first sight of home.
During the seductive scenes I actually started laughing. Once again stood facing away for the space of three heartbeats, then, slowly, he turned. I just finished the last book, book 8, Mastered by Love, and it was the best by far of the series. I recommend you to listen to the full audiobook Mastered by Love, free at our library. No, on second thought, this was just a better book. Although he has been here before, he'll need help to remember his way.
The last few offerings from Laurens have been a bit ho-hum for me. Buku ini mengecewakan sekaligus membuat saya gila krn terbakar. During the seductive scenes I actually started laughing. No, on second thought, this was just I picked up the Australian release which I thought had a nicer cover but I couldn't find a picture during my browsing so this is the one you get at Target when I was away and was pleasantly suprised by this one. But that's no longer an option. It seemed like he was a brilliant mastermind who was outwitting Dalziel all this time. Not a feeling he liked.
However, cook Lately ruined for me by the narrator - he really cannot do women. Anyway, this author is not for me. Admittedly, the last half definitely merits 4 stars so I'm giving, kind of under protest. Royce is such a complicated character and his relationship with Minerva is every bit of everything he had coming. But I do think as the gist of it the story lines were very very similar.
What a bunch of horse shite. Simon Prebble or Rosalyn Landor or Susan Erickson just about anyone What character would you cut from Mastered by Love? Mastered By Love, eighth book in the Bastion Club series, is the long awaited story featuring the mysterious Dalziel, aka Royce Varisey. I guess my main problem with it was the application of 20th-21st century morals to early 19th century settings. The sex sceens were hot and well made, almost explict. What other book might you compare Mastered by Love to and why? What she wasn't prepared for, what she hadn't foreseen, was the huge problem that now faced her. Their romance has nothing really new in terms of story line, but for me, it just worked out right and I really could feel the growing feelings each felt for the other.
Heroine refusing to marry for anything other than love. I haven't been able to finish either completely. One of the horses broke stride; Royce checked it, held the pair back until they were in step, then urged them on. Mana tebal banget bukunya, tapi tanpa pd intinya cerita bergulir. So What's there to say about it? Yes, although 11 hours would be a stretch in a normal day. As to a Stephanie Laurens book, it was an extreme let down.
