Sepher Rezial Hemelach = The book of the angel Rezial (Book, 2000) [roomdeal.in]

A diverse compendium of ancient Hebrew magical lore, this book was quite possibly the original source for later, traditional literature on angelic hierarchy, astrology, Qabalah, and Gematria. And, it fills in the Bible and imparts not only the wisdom of God imparted to Adam and his sons, but it tells a little of what they did after they left the garden of Eden, and how that wisdom was given to them, or how they were led to it. After receiving my copy I began going through it and to be honest this book is more than a bad translation it is absolutely terrible. In the years since I completed the first edition of this encyclopedia, my views on angels have not changed in any profound ways, but they have in more subtle ways. Moses Gaster mentions this in his introduction to The Sword of Moses 1896 suggesting that the Sepher Rezial could be a primary source for many magic and qabalistic books of the Middle Ages. Facing impossible odds at every turn, the two must work together to survive. Sepher Rezial Hemelath is the Long-awaited, first English edition of this famous magical text-a translation from the ancient Hebrew in the rare and complete 1701 Amsterdam edition.

Steve Sasdow obviously doesn't know a minutia of Hebrew but presents this work as a translation??? The book is very metaphysical but readable, although it is not a fast read. Very Good: A book that does not look new and has been read but is in excellent condition. He lists the old and rare manuscripts still in existence, and provides a bibliography of other reference works for study of the Western esoteric tradition. Sefer Raziel deserves to be available in translation, but this is not it. Don't believe me look up some of the names mentioned around page 7, 8, or 9.
